BRIDGE project expert meeting — biotechnology in the region
A BRIDGE project round-table brought Silesian universities, business and innovation-support institutions to one table — a discussion of the region's biotechnology potential.
The meeting took place on 23 February 2026 at the Upper Silesian Market Entrepreneurship Accelerator, jointly with the Prof. Zbigniew Religa Foundation for Cardiac Surgery Development. Representatives of the University of Silesia, the Silesian University of Technology and the Medical University of Silesia took part.
Talks covered the sector's key challenges and needs, and the areas with the strongest growth potential in Silesia. Prof. Zbigniew Nawrat moderated the discussion, focusing on ideas for future international partnerships.
The initiative is a concrete step toward shaping the region's biotechnology development and preparing projects for future funding.
