MedSilesia Innovation Showroom (MIS) is a space where innovations in the fields of medicine, care, and rehabilitation take shape. It is a place where science meets business and ideas are turned into practical solutions. At MIS, you can observe, test, and refine technologies together with their users—seniors, caregivers, physical therapists, and industry experts.
INFRASTRUCTURE
The SENIOR Living Lab infrastructure – PREVENTION – DIAGNOSTICS – REHABILITATION is dedicated to solutions for seniors. A comprehensive testing and demonstration space equipped with rehabilitation robots, advanced devices, and solutions dedicated to older people, their caregivers, and physiotherapists.
- This makes it possible to:
- test medical devices and equipment in conditions similar to real-life situations,
- simulate a home care environment,
- present the organization of the rehabilitation process using advanced robotic devices,
- verify the compatibility of devices from different manufacturers, also under the supervision of scientists from universities and research institutes.
COOPERATION PLATFORM AND INDUSTRY COMPETENCE CENTER
MIS serves as an open communication platform and industry competence center.
- Its objectives are:
- to present new technological solutions, including those related to the digitization of medical equipment.
- build a publicly accessible knowledge base on technology, organization, and economics of care,
- develop the digital awareness and competence of users, especially seniors and caregivers,
- popularize knowledge about modern medical, diagnostic, and daily living support products.
ECOSYSTEM DEDICATED TO SOLUTIONS FOR SENIORS
- MedSilesia Innovation Showroom is the heart of the Silver Economy ecosystem in the region. Through the active involvement of senior citizens, patients, caregivers, and non-governmental organizations, MIS:
- supports the design of technologies that respond to the real needs of users,
- enables testing of solutions in the spirit of test before invest (Tb4i),
- engages end users in the Customer Talks (CT) process – gathering feedback from seniors, caregivers, and physical therapists,
- facilitates early identification of technological, ergonomic, and usability issues,
- prepares solutions for commercialization (market to market – MtM),
- inspires the development of services and devices that increase the independence and quality of life of seniors,
- partners with local government units in implementing an innovative model of senior care.
